Step back in time with a visit to Historic Yates Mill County Park for an exciting and educational experience! Recognized by the National Register of Historic Places, this 174-acre wildlife refuge and environmental research center is home to an array of activities. Go hiking on the trails surrounding the 24-acre pond or take a tour of Historic Yates Mill – the last remaining gristmill in Wake County. Here you will find out what goes into creating those delicious plates from “farm-to-fork” and even witness first-hand the corn grinding process!
